Matongo Teachers Training College receives students even from remote areas of Kenya where is no pastors who serve the congregations. Chaplain John Oselu provides catechism teaching and autumn 2016 three students were baptized and 18 confirmed. (A samburu student in the photo). So is s the college also supporting the church mission.
Noah Wilson, the bishop of South-Sudan, visited Matongo meeting students from his country which is now suffering from the war. Church is working on the refugee camps in Uganda where is already one million Sudanese.
Child care project expanded to Samburu in the beginning of 2017. Area is suffering from drought, no rains have been received since January 2016.
Missionary meeting was arranged in Kisumu. Program ended to Matongo, where missionaries met students and staff from college. In Sunday service where reverent Ari Lukkarinen (on the left, second row from down) preached was attending around 500 students.
